It’s that time of year.
We all know it’s coming.
The Office Christmas Party.
Our chance to celebrate “the reason for the season.”
A few of us experienced veterans have more than a few of these under our belts.
For the most part, they are cordial and professional affairs…for the most part.
Sometimes they get interesting and in ways that create legends.
Maybe it’s the alcohol.
Maybe it’s the tension.
Maybe it’s the personalities.
Maybe it’s the social environment and volatile mix of them all combined.
So…………………
Let’s get started.
You show up ready to network with all the best intentions.
After some pleasant intros and hellos, you decide to head for the bar because…
On the way, you get stopped by the boss’s 3rd wife and listen to her talk about her boob job for the 37th time.
You finally make it and lean over and make sure there is enough for you and your friends.
And you ponder.
A couple of drinks later you and your friends get a little loose.
You need another drink.
And then jump back in line.
The real dancing starts.
The booze is starting to kick in and across the room you notice.
Whoa, wait a minute maybe a little too much booze. But then you see.
Or well yeah.
You vaguely remember the safety briefing.
You notice that the guys are starting to enjoy themselves.
And the ladies as well.
Things are starting to slow down and even Santas ready to go.
Everyone starts heading for the door and with one final toast you raise your glass.
And with that.
The Office Christmas Party.
